The Adani Group has unveiled plans to invest $1.2 billion in a massive new solar power plant in Rajasthan, which will become India’s largest solar facility upon completion. The project, expected to be operational by the second quarter of 2025, will span over 5,000 acres and generate enough clean energy to power approximately 1.2 million homes. This move signals Adani’s strong commitment to renewable energy and is projected to create around 5,000 new jobs during the construction phase, with an additional 800 permanent positions once operational. The plant will incorporate cutting-edge solar panel technology and battery storage systems to ensure consistent power supply.
